´The Outdoor Amphitheater´ (©) was developed by Biotope, and it is a concept that we keep fine tuning. At the core of this concept is creating an outdoor classroom. Too often nature is something theoretical tought in schools. With this concept we are aiming to make nature experiences easily available for the general public, and in particular school classes and kindergardens. Essentially it is a large nature shelter, with an amphitheater style seating and an exphibition space.
Need a personal retreat in nature? Or maybe you run a guesthouse or lodge, and want to offer something unique to your guests? Spending time in nature is a refreshing and recreational experience. At Biotope we are designing everything from small private off-grid retreats to cabins and even landscape hotels for nature-based tourism businesses.
Biotope have for many years been working closely with nature based tourism businesses. As architects we do not see ourselves as only designers and draftsmen, but we very much enjoy assisting businesses with concept development. We have designed a series of cabins, guesthouses and we are currently working on three landscape hotel´ projects. Understanding the business of hospitality, short term visitors and tourism is important. Biotope have helped businesses develop everything from new nature based products, to designing logos, websites and their visual identity. We want to help our clients make sure everything feels like a coherent experience for a guest, from the first Google search to staying at a nicely designed cabin.
